What’s this? This is intermission—a palate cleansing series. Something you can read quickly and feel satisfaction in deleting. Poetry is the Tiktok of writing, which means it’s fun. That’s not true, don’t quote me on that.
Poem people will be a series of short poems. I’m as much a poet as I am a novelist (I’m not), so they’ll be slice-of-life-ish, not ballads. I would typically share these menageries on Instagram stories, but I’m wanting not to want that app. Plus, there’s a lot of time in between Desire Path monthly essays. The poem people cannot wait, people.
Duffel
A candle with two ends A trying step and shuffle The flicker of weight Sluged into a duffle Running, ducking, hot Strapping hitter at bat In the tongue of the hall, “Hey, want help with that?”

Glittering
Here, this is yours I think. Why don't we sort it out? Here, I can see again, it's here. A glittering banned by pout. With a halo of staying power, Blistering and quick. Offer me a lullaby; I'll take it hot on a stick!
Re: “Offer me a lullaby,” see my nightstand design on my newly reno’ed website. Additional object designs are in beta. Additional skills to make these object designs a reality are also in beta. Expectations on how much I can realistically accomplish while working full-time and suffering a mood disorder are ALSO in beta.
